Franky is a solid liver bitch retained from our second litter and has matured into a very versatile bitch. She is litter sister to tinker and has worked for us over the last 5 seasons. Like her sister, franky has a natural hunting ability. she has a good coat together with an excellent temperament and attitude to work. Franky is a confidant swimmer, who retrieves well from land and water. This bitch is very stylish and a pleasure to work with, when out on vermin control with Les tracked and despatched a wounded fox at only 16 months old. Franky works from the very start of the season running in the young birds to the pen. She will then go on to working, full days dogging in, driven and rough shooting days, is always out on vermin control, and has proven her worth many times over. She is a most valued member of the team and loyal shooting companion. Due to an accident as a young bitch which damaged her hip joint Franky has a high hip score. As it is recommended that only lower scoring dogs be bred from, we have decided not to bred from her. We understand that her score is a reflection of damage and not hereditary hip dysplasia, but feel as we have bitches of good standard with low scoring hips, to breed from this girl would maybe encourage less conscientious breeders to breed with un tested dogs or dogs with hereditary high scores.
